Question : Problem: NX7300 Motherboard burned near power jack

My HP NX7300 laptop's power jack evidently shorted and caused a small chunk of the motherboard to burn. The laptop still works, but the battery won't charge. I have dis-assembled the unit, but due to the damage I can't tell tell where some of the traces go. Does anyone have a schematic or pictures of the motherboard? The HP part number of the board is 403894-001. Also, has anyone heard of this happening before?

the only advice i can give - if you want to invest your time in it - is looking in a similar laptop -
you may even find a broken one (bad lcd or such ) on e-bay
then you can compare, or replace the mobo
