Question : Problem: Dell Wireless Manager cannot find Access Point but can in Site Survey
I have a Dell Vostro 1500 with a Dell Wireless N card, Dell Wireless Manager cannot find my Access Point but can in a Site Survey. It'll show all 8 but when I go to actually connect it won't let me. I get a big Red X on a picture of a gold router when I try to from the site survey add them manually. The signal strength is great for the one I'm trying to get into, and I have a laptop directly behind it that has an excellent rated connection.
I tried adjusting some setting from the device manager with no luck yet, any suggestions to this?
FYI: Our network works on Static IPs which I have already configured, not sure if that was needed info but thought I'd put it out there.
Answer : Problem: Dell Wireless Manager cannot find Access Point but can in Site Survey
I ended up contacting Dell after I was convinced it was a bad card, they sent a replacement and it seems to work just fine now.
