Question : Problem: default logon for HP1320 webpage
|
|
A HPLaserJet 1320 printer recently appeared in our office that was at another site. This printer appears to have a hardwired ip address of 10.0.0.x.
I can release the current address to 0.0.0.0 but as soon as I reboot with the network cable in it reverts to the 10.0.0.x address.
I can be reach the printers configuration page but cannot login buy its IP but cannot logon
Does anyone know what the default user name and password is or how to change it?

Thanks for the reply and the information. Have you tried using HP Web Jetadmin utility? It is at http://h20338.www2.hp.com/hpsub/cache/332262-0-0-225-121.html?jumpid=ex_r2845_go/webjetadmin/gc121306 and may be just what you need. It detects Jetdirect printers on the network and provides utilities to configure and set them up.
Have you tried printing a Network Configuration page? It will print with the configuration page. The information on the Network Config page may help identify what the problem is in the set up. There is information on resetting the network configuration and even doing a cold reset at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1090502. That page also talks about the Web Jetadmin Utility.
Let me know how this helps or if you have a question.
