Question : Problem: Keyboard and Mouse Freezed after restore using acronis universal restoration

I used acronis true image workstation with universal restoration to restore on a different hardware. It seemed to be fine. The image of my XP Pro ran onto the screen. I noticed the windows detected new hardware driver and it poped up for me to click finish button after it detected a new hardware drive. But I could not move both mouse and keyboard to go on another hardware device detecting, even I reset and go to safe mode. It couldn't help. My keyboard and mouse interface is PS2. I also tried on USB mouse and keyboard interface but it didn't work too.

try changing the PCI slot of your video card if its not onboard
remove all the extra devices like network, modem etc
if possible, hook another vidoe card

if all fails, perform a repair install with your xp cd
