Question : Problem: Verizon v740 installation problem
I am trying to install a Verizon Wireless V740 wireless card on a Dell Precision laptop running XP Pro SP3. I have VZW Access manager installed correctly because I can use another card in the same laptop. This is weird but he wireless card in question does work with other laptops. Here's what happens: the laptop recognizes that a device has been installed. It goes through the regular Add Hardware setup screens and it recognizes that it's a Texas Instruments device. However, after it recognizes the device it says it cannot install it. I have attached a screen shot of the Hardware Update screen. This is where I think I am having problems. I googled the message and received zero hits.
Answer : Problem: Verizon v740 installation problem
Uninstall and reinstall the software. Make sure you use the CD that came with the wireless card. I have this exact same card and I have had to uninstall/reinstall before.
