Question : Problem: Connecting a networked Kyocera Printer to a LAN
|
|
I have a KYOCERA FS1000 printer with a LAN connection in the back. I want to attach it to my LAN (WIN2K PTP with an ADSL ROUTER switch connecting four ports.)
I can connect it as a local printer and share it across the LAN, but I have no management of it then.
I bought the printer at an auction. I connected it to one prt on the router and the port lightt comes on and the light at the RJ45 connection on printer comes on, so there is a link present.
I don't understand where to start next. How do I "see" the printer LAN connection?
Cheers Bernard

For the FS1000 the IP address must be set by using Kyocera's Remote Operation Panel Utility. Have you used that?
I do not know what you mean by QuickSetup. Is this a Kyocera utility?
