Question : Problem: Panda Businessecure on Citrix Pres Server FR3

Hi,

We have a fram of 2 Citrix Presentation Servers running on Windows 2003 machines. I have installed the panda file secure client on both 2003 machines. Administration console is installed on DC win2003. I have noticed the following behavior. When each user logons a new instance of panda client is loading causing strain on both citrix servers. Since AV is running in Local Administrator account is it necesairy for each user to laod the AV again. If this is not the case does anyone have an idea on how to stop the av from loading when each users logs on

Sounds like you are publishing a desktop?

one way around this is to only publish applications but if that is not an option here are the places you will want to check.  When a full desktop loads it can start many applications that are located in the following places:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Delete unwanted programs from this folder.


The other place is in the registry (this is probably where Panda is launching from):

HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\WINDOWS\Current Version\Run\

Delete unwanted keys from here.  Be careful though not to delete anything that is required to run certain programs.
