Question : Problem: USB Speechmike intermittently not recognized when plugged in
I have a client that dictates with a SpeechMike Pro. Occasionally when he plugs in the speechmike, it is not recognized. I have made sure all of the drivers are up-to-date. The SpeechMike is only a couple months old and the laptop is less than a year old. We are using Windows XP SP2. The laptop is a Dell Latitude D630. I can't seem to find the speechmike under "safely remove hardware" when it is working either.
Answer : Problem: USB Speechmike intermittently not recognized when plugged in
does the mic work on another laptop
does another mic work on this laptop
usb is rated at max 100 milli amps and the affected laptops port could be not providing this
