Question : Problem: Panasonic Y2 Toughbook and Viewsonic VA912b
I am trying to connect a Panasonic Y2 Toughbook to a Viewsonic VA912b LCD and after loading the drivers and connecting the Monitor to the Notebook, I reboot and still get no signal or black screen. I cannot adjust the HZ on the laptop, default at 60 HZ. Any ideas?

60 Hz is good for an LCD display and shouldn't be changed to something else. Check your notebook for a function key combination to turn the external monitor on. Usually there is blue key with Fn and then the top function keys you have to simultaneously press. Look for a symbol that looks like a display or something that says crt/lcd. On my Dell I would have to press Fn+F8 to switch from the internal to the external monitor. Sometimes you may also have to enable an external monitor from inside the BIOS.
