Question : Problem: USR Modem driver not compatible with Win 2000 pro

I have a US robortics modem OEM type, the driver diskette i have worked fine with all the OSs (Win 98, Win ME, Win XP) but recently i used in Win 2000 (OS installed newly) doesnt support that driver. the modem works fine with that driver "mdm 1807" in all other OSs. I'm not quite sure is "1807" the model # of my OEM modem?....I tried to find in USR website and quite surprisingly under OEM category i could find model 1807, after 1787 the next one is 2697......so can anyone kindly give some sort of advice on this....i'd really appreciate.....
