Question : Problem: Network speed test tools

I need a tool that willl measure the network speed between a clent pc and a server. This test specifically is trying to measure the speed as the client is on the other side of a wireless bridge. Some one mentioned a ftp speed test but not sure

Personal recommendation is using either QCheck or IPerf.
