Question : Problem: Backup Exec can't find resource
I get the following error when trying to restore:
Restore 00011 -- The job failed with the following error: Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again.
I have HDD as the media for storing the backup information. I do not have any problems or errors on the backups, but can't restore data back to it's original location. We had our Exchange 2003 server crash on Friday and I have restored. I installed the Backup Exec remote agent on the new server, Exchange 2003 and am not trying to restore the mailboxes. I have a differential, weekly and monthly backup and each give the exact same error. Help please!
Answer : Problem: Backup Exec can't find resource
Are you using the correct resource credential?
Did you name the restored server identical as the old server?
Try to start a redirected restore - that may work (Microsoft Exchange Redirection area of the restore job).
