Question : Problem: HP Digital Sender 9100c - Hard disk clone
|
|
We have a HP Digital Sender 9100c, the hard disk has failed. Normally I would just slap in a new one, but the disk also contains the OS for the digital sender as well as partitions for storing the scans etc. HP charge 600 USD for a replacement drive, which i can't afford. This is a great bit of kit but I am not going to be ripped off by HP just for a new HDD that really should cost 60 GBP.
I have found many articles on the web, saying that it is perfectly possible to clone the hard disk of another 9100c using norton ghost (with the -id option which does a byte by byte copy of the drive rather than a file by file copy)
But I can not find anyone with another 9100c to get a copy from. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone with a copy of the ghost image that I can use for this purpose.
It surely doesn't break any license agreement, because I must already own a copy of the license to use the OS, when I first bought the Digital Sender
