Question : Problem: Seagate HDD shown only if <32GB jumper selected.

I have a fairly old intel chipset 82443LX based Kobian motherboard running on a celeron 300, i recently got a samsung 7200 RPM HDD and Seagate 5400 RPM HDD, The problem is that the samsung HDD is detected in the BIOS only if the jumper settings are set to <32 GB capa. and any data at the end of the HDD placed earlier has become unaccesible, is there and way that i can access that information or get it to work without the 32 GB limit? any option is acceptable, if you are giving a bios flash advice then please give a URL.

Answer : Problem: Seagate HDD shown only if <32GB jumper selected.

Can you be more specific on the motherboard model?  Because a flash update is recommended if there is one available.  If you don't know get the bios number off the bottom of the screen on startup and go to http://www.wimsbios.com/numbers.shtml and identify the motherboard and model  With those it is possible to track down manufacturer and see if flash update is available.
