Question : Problem: ProLiant DL380 G4 will not accept over 8G of memory (trying to upgrade to 10)

I am trying to upgrade an HP ProLiant DL380 G4 to 10G of ram, I have enough slots to go with 4/2G sticks and 2/1G (all kingston) or just g0 12G with all 2ZG stick pairs. No matter how I configure it (ie 1G sticks in slots 1 and 2, 2Gs filling out the rest etc.) all I get is beeps when I go over 8G.

  Any ideas?

Sounds like you are using dual-ranked rather than single ranked DIMMs, see the chart at http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12028_div/12028_div.html#Memory under "HP ProLiant Model DL380 Generation 4 (G4) Dual Rank Support:" - if you use all dual rank you can't use bank C - due to address bus loadings.
