Question : Problem: Ram Max and max speed.

The specs on my new HP tx1205us say that I can have a 2GB Max.  Is that number real?  I'm running vista and I want to put in 4gb.  Also, I can't figure out the ram speed (MAX FSB)for the life of me.

Any ideas appreciated,
JOe K

Answer : Problem: Ram Max and max speed.

Your system uses DDR2-533 (PC4200) modules, and does (as per HP's specs) have a limit of 2GB of memory.  Two 1GB modules is all you can install.   Fortunately, memory prices are at bargain levels ... you can buy a pair of 1GB modules for your laptop for only $69.98  [http://www.4allmemory.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=search.memorySearch2&model_id=64842 ]
