Question : Problem: Dead compter-no boot up.  Mobo [Northbridge] fan was stuck and replaced.  Get two-tone siren alarm.

Hi,
My pc with Abit mobo and Phoenix bios will not boot.  Mobo [Northbridge] fan was stuck and replaced.  Still get a two tone siren alert when powering up.

Also did the following:
1. Reset CMOS by removing battery.
2. Reset RAM
3. Removed and reinserted CPU
4. Reset videocard
5. Reinserted all mobo cables to hard drives
6. Disconnected 2nd hard drive

Abit beep code: two-tone siren generally caused by overheating [not in this case] or out of spec voltages. I think the stuck fan, which was replaced,  is the source of this problem.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Joe

Willing to bet that Mobo is gone. When the fan stuck it fried it. You could send it in to see if they can fix but might be best to just get another board and replace it. If you had another PC handy could try all the parts like CPU and Memory to make sure wasn't them.
