Question : Problem: Advertising Display Screens

Hi! I'm looking into setting up an advertising network in my locality. Ideally, I would like to set up some LCD displays and be able to remotely manage the content that's displayed on them. I'm thinking of video, slideshows and still images.

Our expertise would be the marketing side of things, but I've no idea of the hardware/technology side. I was hoping to get some ideas or names of manufacturers and things like that so I could do some more research.

Are there any such things as LCD displays with wireless capability? Or maybe ethernet?

They wouldn't need to be mounted. They could also be just on a stand - actually this might even be preferable since it's less work to set up or move around if needed, although having the option to do both would obviously be good.

Many thanks in advance!

BTW: if anyone has any better TA suggestions for this question, please let me know so I can if it moved.

Answer : Problem: Advertising Display Screens

On a small scale you can do this with relatively low spec small computers behind a screen. You can then wirelessly managing the computers using remote tools
You can also using streaming media techniques (similar to what some do at home)
AV can be sent over CAT5 with specialist equipment
Wireless is possible although for several monitors streaming will be better than video senders

All of these would require some technical knowledge with pointers being available but you may well need some on site help to get up and running. Depending on budget a specialist provider would be an idea.
