Question : Problem: "iTunes library file is locked" error
|
|
iTunes was locked up, so I Forced it to quit. The next time I tried to launch the program, I got the following error.
"The iTunes Library file is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission for this file."
I verified that the permissions were correct (Read/Write) and even repaired permissions but to no avail.
I am running OS X 10.4.10 on a G5 iMac. iTunes version 7.3. Thanks!

Try this:
1. Move (not copy) your iTunes library data file to your desktop. 2. Start iTunes - your play list will be empty 3. Quit iTunes and copy (not move) the data file from step 1 into the iTunes folder 4. Start iTunes
