Question : Problem: ps2 keyboard port not comes on erratically

the keyboard plugged into my ps2 port powers up until it comes up to the windows start up screen and then it shuts off intermitently. i tried multiple keyboards and have same problem.  i turn off the pc and try it and eventually it comes up. Motherboard issue?  i will try a usb mouse but wondered if anyone ever saw this problem

could be the ps2 port thats teh issue and a loose connector, how about getting a ps2 to usb connector an dputting yoru keyboard in a usb port?
