Question : Problem: How to get Realtek wireless card working under Suse Linux 9.2?
I have Realtek RTL8180 Wireless LAN (Mini-) PCI NIC on my laptop. It works fine under WindowsXP, but it does not under Suse Liux 9.2 (I have a dual boot system). When I run Yast2 it seems to recognize and configure it. But it does not actually work: It does not see it when I type http://192.168.0.1 in a browser. What might be the problem?

1) whole output - starting from processor type, pci attachment down to wlan interface. It is stored at boot in /var/log/dmesg file 2) This is the obvious solution. Recent Linux distributions can use Windows driver for network cards. 3) Or download ISOs and burn them.
Let me outline easy steps: 1) Get Ubuntu or burn Mandriva One - do they work? You can install one that booted up or install OpenSUSE 10.3 (3 CDs) If did not work... 2) Get Windows driver into place accessible from LiveCD - like USB flash drive - use it. If it did not work 3) compile Linux driver from Realtek - that is definetly beyound your understanding.
