Question : Problem: OCE TDS 700 Scanner will not scan-to-file on network share
network share is running on windows server 2008
we have an oce tds 700 scanner that is connected to our network. On the scanner there is a option to set up the scan-to-file. To configure the scan-to-file to work it required FTP service or SMB. and also the ip address of the server that's hosting the network share, and a domain user account with write permission.
I selected SMB, enter the ip address of the server, and enter a domain user account with write permission on the network share. I then click apply - it seem to be able to make the connection ...so I proceeded to test scan. The test scan look like it went through but on the network share the size of the file was 0. but on the scan controller it show the file of having the correct size and i was able to view the file on the controller but not on the network share. I don't know what's going on any help is appreciated.
Answer : Problem: OCE TDS 700 Scanner will not scan-to-file on network share
decided to use ftp service instead of smb - now the file scans through fine
