Question : Problem: Playing WAV Files Windows Server 2008

Hi All,

We have a terminal server running Windows Server 2008.

Some corporate people have a need to play vmail wav files that are sent to their Outlook accounts.

I can't seem to find wmplayer for WS2008.

How can I get it or something that will work? I know audio streamed from a TS session will sound horrible but for vmail it is ok.

Thanks,

Mike

Answer : Problem: Playing WAV Files Windows Server 2008

1. Open Server Manager (Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager)
2. Select Features > Add Features
3. Check the Desktop Experience feature and click Next
4. Click Install to install the feature
5. Reboot as directed
When the machine comes back up, WIndows Media Player will be there
