Question : Problem: hardware compatibility - can a SuperDLT restore SDLT320 media?

Here is the situation:

Production loader can inventory, catalog, backup and restore its own tapes. The tape library is Powervault 136T with SDLT320 drives
DR loader can inventory, catalog, backup and restore its own tapes. The tape library is Overland PowerLoader, quatium superdlt1 drives.

Production loader can inventory, catalog, and restore tapes from DR.
DR loader inventories tapes from production as "Bad Media", and flags it as Retired Media.

Events that occur when trying to restore prod tape on dr 11d server:
On the DR server in the veritas events I see no active alerts or active history alerts.
In the windows event viewer - when I run any jobs to catalog production tapes I receive a "Admm Mover Error: Read Failure" Invalid Function"
On the backup job itself it reads V-79-57344-34030- An unkown error occurred on Device "Quantium 1" An invalid command was sent to storage.

I Can however quick erase the tape (that I was trying to restore), and use it to create new jobs, backup, restore, catalog, etc.
I Can also backup, restore, catalog all file backups between each system... only can't read any prod tape data in DR...

Both Prod and Dr tape have the same drive specs listed in symantec - Drive type DLT, 64K 10,0,E,HU, Media type DLT,  I've tried changing the catalog settings under symantec - Request all media in sequence, and Use storage media-based catlogs, I've changed device drivers to symantec, and back to simple device manufacturer, no luck.

I enabled scsi tracer which says:  Sense data: ASC Incompatible Medium Installed, Cannot read medium incompatible format.

So, my question is should i be able to restore a SDLT320 written tape with an SuperDLT1 tape device.... (given that the same media specs and compression are setup the same in both servers 11d Veritas applications) ?   thanks in advance....

What's been replaced and/or completed:
      New Loader, New SCSI Controller
All Veritas was scratched and re-installed
All service packs were applied to windows and Veritas... 11d, version

Answer : Problem: hardware compatibility - can a SuperDLT restore SDLT320 media?

I found what i needed:

From the Quantum web site:

For previously written SDLT220 tapes, the SDLT-320 tape drive will continue writing at the density already established for that cartridge. When writing a blank cartridge, the drive defaults to the 320 GB density.
