Question : Problem: power save/reboot for no reason
Hi, I asked a question a couple of days ago and it was answered (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Desktops/Q_22790930.html) ...and I thought i had cured my re-booting/power saving problem. Anyway, i haven't...in one of the solutions the expert mentioned that ""Power Saving Mode" is a monitor message that means video signal was lost." So this eveing I download a video card stability test software. And three times i try to run it, and three times the PC switches to "power save mode" So I am thinking it is more than my screen cables...
Using Belarc, this is the information it gave me: Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition [Display adapter] Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition Secondary [Display adapter] Radeon X1950 Series [Display adapter] Radeon X1950 Series Secondary [Display adapter] LGE M1917A [Monitor] (19.1"vis, February 2006) (2x)
what is the next best step?...I presume it is not to rip out the video card and replace it.!!! :)
