Question : Problem: Gigabyte BIOS crash
Hi,
I have a Gigabyte ALI chipset that I tried to upgrade the BIOS on - - well, it crashed. I need to get it back where it was.
I made the boot disk, but it will not boot. I have the old BIOS saved.
Help - - I need this up by tommorrow.

After flashing a motherboard, you must clear all BIOS data. Because some datas does not "match" with new bios.
To reset data :
find a jumper to clear CMOS data
or shortcut battery one second
or unplug battery
Make a try ...

A bad BIOS has no way to be reversed.
3 ways :
1)reprogramming BIOS :
Generally you can unplug flash memory ( pll plastic bracket ( or support ?))
You have source code (bin file ).
Find a friend or a student who works in a electronic laboratory. With a Flash/Eprom reader/writer ( example Data I/O or SMS system)you can flash your bios.

-> for 20$, your chip could be reprogrammed.
2) find a new BIOS chip.
3) buy a new motherboard ...
