Question : Problem: HP quickplay boot loop
I have a HP pav laptop that has a broken power (on/off) button. The quickplay buttons work to boot it into the quickplay partition, but when I click on the windows logo in quickplay it hibernates windows, and then all I can do is touch the quickplay button again for a loop (the same thing happens) I have tried to press f8 to go into safe mode but it "blue screens" every time.
I do have an external usb SATA adapter and could edit some of the startup files like Boot.ini ect. but I want to be very careful not to disable the quick play buttons (power button broken).
is there anyone out there who knows this quickplay startup software well enough to guide me in the right direction?
