Question : Problem: Where to get the proper chipset driver to run XP on a pavilion a6400f desktop?
I recently installed XP on a pavilion a6400f using a slipstreamed OS disk. I thought I had the proper chipset driver installed, but in the device manager I see a PCI device and a PCI simple communications controller are still missing. The audio device, although there is a driver installed, is also not recognized. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to get the proper drivers to run XP on this machine. HP only offers the Vista drivers.

This PC has HD audio and may require the MS UAA driver to be installed before the audio is installed.
Click on the hotfix link at the top of this page to get the UAA driver
