Answer : Problem: Full hard drive capacity not recognized

yeah it does, but think of this, i used to have a 400 meg hard drive that gave me 350 megs of free space. my 10 gig har drive gives me about 8.3 gigs. my 45 gig gives me 41 gigs. i dont know the amount my 200 gives cause i dont have SP1 yet so i can only use 128 gigs, but the thing is when i read up on it i read that without 48-bit addressing you get only 137 gigs, but i can only use 128 gigs of free space. so it kind of does make sense that 200 gigs would let you use only 190 gigs.

Chew on this:
"The downside to hard drive space is that no hard drive has the specified amount. I have two 200GB drives that are both only 190GB. This means that buying a 250GB hard drive might only result in 235GB."
