Question : Problem: Scanners with Remote Desktop

We have three Win XP Pro workstations that are connected to a local network; each system has a different local scanner on it - one is a Canon DR3020, another is a Canon DR3060 - both hooked to the system with a 2930 Scsi card; the third system has a Xerox Documate 252 connected via USB.  We connect to another server in our corporate office and run an application on there.  In this app, there is the ability to scan documents, however, when we try to click on it, it does nothing so we are assuming this is because the scanners are local and not connected to the network.  We had one suggestion that we needed to check the button to bring local resources over on the Remote Desktop - since I understood this would only work with USB, I just tried this with the Xerox - also we downloaded the latest remote server software from microsoft - but still does not display the scanner.  Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Answer : Problem: Scanners with Remote Desktop

Windows RDP v6 does not natively support scanner redirection. You may want to look at a third party solution like remote scan.
