Question : Problem: Persistent Travan/Backup Exec 11d I/O errors

This has been a persistent problem: By itself on 2nd IDE channel as MASTER, using STT3401a TRAVAN 20/40GB drive. Nightly backup gives IO errors (ADAMM MOVER ERROR, error=IO device; ADAMM Mover error: read nit ready failure!). Replaced drive under warranty and still getting same errors. Worked with Certance support but to no avail.

Solution: Changing from PIO to DMA seemed to do the trick.
