Question : Problem: How to calculate the power requirements of a number of PCs

Hi

I need to calculate the approximate power usage of a number of PCs in an office, so that an UPS solution can be looked at.

I believe the calculation would be  [total wattage of devices/ 1,000 = Kilowatts]

The question is would you use the maximum output of power supply (270w) for the calculation or the standard configuration figures (101w) which includes CPU, 1Gb memory, HD, ODD, FDD and operating system.
