Question : Problem: Computer wont boot. Green light on motherboard. Tried 2 different power supplies.

EMachine E2984 will not power up. I see a green light on the mobo. When I press the power button nothing happens. What could be the possible problems? Motherboard? Bad Power Switch?

Answer : Problem: Computer wont boot. Green light on motherboard. Tried 2 different power supplies.

I'd first remove all cards and RAM and reseat the RAM and then put in only the video card (might even try with the video card out)...assuming that its on a card.  Also,reseat all power connectors, especially on the mobo. See if it boots.  If it does, then add in other cards one at a time.  If it still doesn't boot, then try a new P/S.
